The Season of Creation 2020

The season begins on September 1st and runs to October 4th, the Feast of St. Francis, who is the patron saint of ecology in many traditions.

The theme for this year’s celebration is “the web of life”

This is a display in the Church for the remainder of the Season as a focus for our prayers and actions.

Pope Francis states that the Season of Creation is a “season of increased prayer and effort on behalf of our common home.”  Some of us pray, some of us do hands-on projects, some of us advocate. We all protect creation.

How can I take part?

The momentum continues long after the season ends. By seeding ongoing prayer, changes in lifestyle, and advocacy, the season grows hope in our communities each year. It’s powerfully good work that’s urgently needed.

And ask yourself how you can take part or help out. Any ideas?
